THE CACBF MASTERPOINT PLAN SIZE OF MASTER POINT AWARDS The number and type of MP's awarded for an event varies according to the type of event and the number of participants. The CACBF MP Plan uses the numbers produced by the CACBF Scoring & Database Program "ACBLScore" for both LOCAL and NATIONAL Master Points. The Zonal MPs are only awarded at Zonal Championships and in the Zonal Simultaneous Pairs (DHL). The following table describes the size of awards.
The CACBF Board is pending decision on the Zonal National Senior Teams. For ACBL Members: For ACBL members the CACBF will remit to the ACBL their award provided of course that the player gives us his /her ACBL number. CACBF has a reciprocal agreement with ACBL on a point for point basis i.e. 1 CACBF point to one ACBL point. The ACBL however only accepts black points from us and for a maximum of 50 points per year. Basically their black points corresponds with our Local points and their red points corresponds with our National points and their silver points with our Zonal points.
For NBB Members:
ACBL and NBB points are convertible. The NBB
however refused ten years ago to award any points for the Curaçao Bridge
Festival. This question is brought to the attention of Mr. Gijs van der Scheer
from the Dutch Bridge Association and is still pending.
We will updated this page as soon as we receive an answer.
